Sidney Logan Echevarria

A proud North Carolina native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Sidney Logan Echevarria uses all of her free time (which isn’t nearly enough) to work on her writing and to support her writing community. Currently, she’s hard at work on her first novel, a speculative retelling of the life (and death) of her ancestral cousin who was the last woman legally hanged in North Carolina.

Sidney has benefited from participating in a number of fellowships, including Periplus (2026), the Epiphany Literary Magazine Fresh Voices Fellowship (2025) and the PEN America Emerging Voices Fellowship (2024.) She’s grown her writing community through participation in the Yale Writers’ Workshop, McCormack’s Winter Workshop (Tin House), and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference.
