LaVelle Wilkins-Chinn

LaVelle is a native Saint Louisan who has been active in the City’s Metropolitan theater community since 1982. She has served as a nonprofit theater arts administrator, actor, performer, playwright, and advocate. Currently she is the Dramaturge for A Call to Conscience Interactive Theatre for Social Change(C2C) in Saint Louis. After serving 30 years as a Web Content Specialist for Elsevier, a global Science and Technology publisher, she joyfully retired during the COVID pandemic in 2020. LaVelle is drawn to historical Black fiction and a wide consumer of historical books on the African diasporic experience.
