Al-Lateef Farmer is an educator, writer, and community worker committed to expanding opportunity and strengthening underserved communities. A 2024 Kimbilio Fiction Fellow, he writes literary fiction that explores Black life, family, memory, and place. Through Fellowship of the Griots, he creates workshops, readings, and supportive spaces for emerging Black writers. He and his wife live in New Jersey, where they own a wellness center dedicated to Black mental health, healing, and community care.
